Jonquière was the city on the Saguenay River in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region of Quebec, Canada, near Chicoutimi. Inside 2002, Jonquière became an arrondissement, or borough, of the mega-city Ville diamond state Saguenay.
Jonquière itself was a effect of the agglomeration of threesome cities: 1000énogami, Jonquière & Arvida.
Great deal of Jonquière's development owed its nature and severity to the Price personal world health organization ran the pulp and paper factory in 1000énogami. Now that fiber & paper mill is owned by Abitibi-Consolidated. Arvida is the front yard of an aluminum plant owned by Alcan.
Jonquière is probably virtually all swell known in the United States because of its Wal-mart store, which attempted to unionize and was closed down shortly thenceforth. A official cause for this closing wwhen labeled as "financial problems."
History
Jonquière was founded within 1847 by Marguerite Belley who came from either La Malbaie, Quebec to settle on the Rivière-aux-Sables flow of any stream.
